It's wedding season again and I was asked to design the stationery for my very close friend and her fiancé. Nikki is a Jewellery Designer and her Sam is a Spacial/Interior Designer, so I was again nervous but excited to do this for such creative people! The wedding had a botanical theme throughout so I knew the stationery would be the vital starting point in establishing the look and feel of the wedding. I designed the motif, save the date, invitations, order of service, table numbers/names and the table plan. Everything was printed on luxury stock to give it that extra special expensive feel. Anyone who knows me knows I love a good textured stock, so I chose Nettuno this time. The feel is as important as the look in my eyes and trust me it's worth spending those extra few pennies to achieve the perfect finish!
The wedding ceremony took place at the picturesque Hampstead Heath Pergola, once I saw the venue I totally understood why they had fallen in love with it and decided on a botanical theme. The weather was stunning and so was the bride in her elegant, sleek, backless dress!
The reception venue was held at a stylish bar & restaurant in London called The Refinery. The table settings were simple but elegant and the unique wild flowers from Worm London perfectly suited their botanical theme and complimented my stationery. The copper vases and metallic touches were completely in tone with the style and decor of the venue. I also have to mention the incredible cake designed by Sam's friend Jamie too, it tasted as incredible as it looked!
The whole day was wonderful and I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to contribute towards Nikki & Sam's special day!
Bring on the next wedding (they are quite a few in the diary already for the next 2 years!)
