Although the other two speakers were really insightful and interesting, Mr Bingo stole the show in my opinion. Mr Bingo is a illustrator/rapper/comedian and makes a living out of creating comical work! During the talk he spoke about his most successful project: Hate Mail in which strangers will request and pay £50 for an illustatrated, bespoke, offensive postcard. He only does this once or twice a year as the demand for the postcards are so high. An exhibition and book has been born out of this bizarre project! Above the surface he seems to throw his work together and his creative decisions seem impulsive. However friom listening to him talk it is apparent that every project he undertakes is well thought out and is very much about self-promotion.
With a big social media presence and following he even gets people requesting him to troll them for a week or to send insults to their friends! His tweets are highly entertaining and he engages with his followers/fans throughout the day. I reccomedn everyone to take a look at his website; it' showcases his work in a hilarious manner and includes a great response to someone asking him for 'free work'.
Here are a few quotes from his website about how people describe him...
Some say he's the 'Master of pens'. Some call him the 'Justin Bieber of drawing'. Some say he fucks about for a living.'
